About
Statement of faith and Practice
Preamble
For centuries, the unregulated, uncoordinated, and non-institutionalized master-pupil system has been the mode of worship and the method of training for Òrìṣà spiritual systems. Yet, Òrìṣà Spirituality has been, and continues to be, the GPS for daily living for millions of people in the United States and around the world.
At the Òrìṣà Spiritual Assembly, we believe that it is time to revamp our congregation style and reinvent our training methods. Above all, it is time to decisively reemphasize the cultivation of ìwàpẹ̀lẹ́ (virtuous character) at all levels of Òrìṣà faith and practice—from training and education, through ministry and practice, to usage as the global positioning system for human and spiritual interaction.
Our objective is the advancement of Òrìṣà Spiritual practice through ìwàpẹ̀lẹ́ (ethical values) that are open, transparent, and beneficial to the spiritual and religious development of our members.
